LETHAL FORCE   8pm

Bay Area Premiere Lethal Force, his low-budget action movie, takes the genre and stands it on its head with 70 quick minutes of rock-'em, sock-'em violence, kung fu style. As best I can make out, the plot involves a gangster who is forced to betray his fellow gangster / friend in order to rescue his kidnapped son from yet another gangster. Many, many fights ensue, with fists, guns, knives, or all three. Dir Alvin Ecarma. (2002)

MIMIC   8pm

If you've never heard of Guillermo Del Toro, this is your chance to see one of the finer Hollywood horror movies in recent years. Giant cockroaches that can mimic human beings take over the sewers of New York.

UNSPEAKABLE   8pm

Reverend Leyba is a legally ordained Priest in the Church of Satan. He is known in the underground art world as the "Father of Sexpressionism". The man views every kind of bodily excretion as a viable medium with which to paint. He is deeply in touch with his Native American ancestry. This just scratches the surface. Rokoff followed him for two years, and observed his life, art and his infamous personal rituals. The Reverendıs prolific and varied artistic output reflects his unyielding political and religious opinions. His notoriety was ensured when he performed the "Apache Whiskey Rite" at a 1997 party for local political consultant Jack Davis. Radical art and raging performances result in a portrait of an artist fulfilling his perverse, yet fully-engaged, artistic vision. Includes interviews with anthropologist/photographer Charles Gatewood, Church of Satan High Priestess Blanche Barton and President of the Tom of Finland foundation, Durk Dehner. This film does contain explicit scenes of material that may be considered disturbing (or worse) by many people. You have been warned.

Cookers   8pm

Dorena, a long-time crystal meth-amphetamine "Cooker", holes up with Hector, her manic and tweaked-out partner with a large amount of pharmaceutical quality base stolen from a biker gang. They head out to an abandoned (and little do they know haunted) old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, and hook up with Hectorıs childhood friend Merle. They set up the lab, test the drugs and embark on a full-tilt run towards destruction. Their paranoia and distrust come to a head, but the motivating factor remains slowly cooking away in the upstairs bedroom. Is the evil that awaits them outside worse than what lurks within? Or is it all in their heads, just a paranoid side effect of the drugs and a week without sleep?
