February Update
Hey gang! It's been awhile and so very much has happened. To whit: - Does anyone know what happened to Pete Seroskie? Please buzz us ASAP. -The Official Lethal Force trailer has now been posted! We don't know what the hell was there before, but now it's there for real. Check it out here. -After the first draft of the movie was being busted out from the computer in December, the hard drive crapped out necessitating some drastic open heart surgery. But when the wrong organ was removed, Editor Ronald spent the holidays reconstructing the movie in a whirlwind, 10-day restoration. By the time you read this, the beta version will have already been churned out. The final, gamma version will be done by the end of March. -Music Man Mike Branum has brought some new members into Vincent Van Go Go aka The Hoopty Philharmonic. They are John Sargentin, primary recordist and mix maestro; Rosie Ball, accomplished percussionist and all-around musician; Kimo Ball, axeman, keyboardist and one of the most versatile instrumentalists on the entire planet; and in the largest musical coup, Yo-Yo Ma, fresh from his triumph on "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." -This past January, shooting on the new scenes went off with only minor, disastrous hitches. Frank Prather returned from the West Coast and was almost too jacked up for this new round of bitch-slapping and man-handling. Check out all the pix here. Frank continues to pursue acting in El Lay and is starting up his own webzine http://www.hollywoodbadass.com/. Freshly minted, the site will satirize the Entertainment Industry, but failing that, it'll settle for being in standardized American English. -With his film 23 HOURS selected, Action Man Eric went off with local film fave Todd Rohall, Film Pal Jason Wauer and Producer Man Kent to Park City, Utah and Slamdance 2001. Filled with dreams of stardom on the cusp, Eric returned a broken and bitter man with only an agonizing urinary tract infection to show for it. Check out all the details here. -With the imminent destruction of the Bethesda Theatre Cafe in Bethesda, Maryland, the World Premiere of the big movie will be held at the JHU 2001 Film Festival in Baltimore, Maryland. It's tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 14 in the evening on the JHU Homewood campus so clear out your social calendars. See you there. That's all for now- K. Spilsbury |
