Day 13: October 3rd, 1999 |
After a couple of false starts, our location shoot at Fort Washington Park went nicely. We welcomed a whole new batch of evil goons so everybody say "Hi" to Grant Vuilles, Daniel Stevens, Ted E. Johnson and "Papa John" Collins. More goons are soon to join our kooky little gang of dangerous, nihilistic misanthropes so stay tuned. The staff of Fort Washington were gracious and filming wasn't complicated by the celebration of the fort's 175th anniversary which involved costumed re-enactors from the Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, The Dark Ages, Roman Times, and a confused cadre of Cybermen from a "Dr. Who" convention. Quite sad really. Also, thanks to Andy Hewitt and his suitcase full of peculiar hats from Uzbekistan which will find their way into the movie one way or the other. Did you know the Uzbekistani people have incredibly small heads? Well, they do. Either that or my head is freakishly, freakishly large. In other news, an extra big thanks to everyone for submitting their bios in a timely fashion. Since not everyone has gotten together to compare notes, the diverse background of our acting troupe may shock you. Did you know that some of the cast are veterans of the Franco-Prussian War? Or that some had been tried for heresy during the Spanish Inquisition? Or even that many of them have been dead for over a hundred years? Yes, it's all hard to believe so go to the official website and check it out. Alvin |
A family portrait; from l to r: Jack (Frank Prather), Patrick (Patrick Collins), and Linda (Lori Boyd). |
"Remember son, guns don't kill people. People kill people; guns just make it easier." |
Jack (Frank Prather) waxes pensive as Rita (Pat Williams) looks on. |
Actor Frank Prather gads about two very sad men - er, we mean proud historical re-enactors. Note the man on the right; it's probably just an innocent glance. We think. We hope. But you know the Romans. |
Cast and Crew take a break during filming at Ft. Washington. From l to r: Patrick Collins, Frank Prather, and Eric Thornett. |
Actors Cash Flagg,
Jr., Frank Prather, and Action Director Eric Thornett wear silly hats.
|
Pat Williams and Frank Prather go over lines as Eric Thornett lurks in the inky darkness. |
And a fine time was had by all; from l to r: Mama Ecarma, Patrick Collins, Cash Flagg, Jr., Pat Williams, Frank Prather, and Eric Thornett. (Note the blonde child in front of Cash. He wasn't there when the picture was taken and the negative shows no evidence of tampering. His identity remains a mystery. ) |
